Frequently asked questions
How long does AI document generation take?
Most documents finish in 45–120 seconds depending on size. Long-form policies like the Statement of Purpose and Safeguarding Policy sit at the higher end. Generation streams to your screen as it runs — you can watch sections appear rather than wait for a final result.
What if an AI-generated document has an error or sounds wrong?
Every document runs through an automated quality pipeline before reaching you (placeholder detection, regulatory reference check, minimum-length gate). If something still reads off, open the document, make the edit, and save — you own the final text. For recurring issues (e.g. the same section always comes out weak), email us and we'll adjust the prompt template for your home.
Can I regenerate a document?
Yes — the paid tier includes up to 200 regenerations per home total, which is generous enough to iterate on every document many times. Every regeneration produces a new version; you can compare versions and revert if the previous was better. If you ever approach the 200 cap, email us — we'll raise it if you're mid-application.
What happens if I hit the 200-generation cap?
You'll see a message explaining the cap is for cost predictability, not a paywall. Send us an email and we'll raise the limit — usually same day on weekdays. Your existing documents are unaffected.
I signed up but my magic-link email never arrived.
Check spam and promotions folders first. If nothing after 5 minutes, try signing in again from /auth/login (requesting a new link invalidates the old one). If two attempts in a row don't arrive, email us with the email address you signed up with and we'll investigate — usually a deliverability issue with your email provider.
Is my home's data stored securely?
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We deliberately do NOT store DBS certificates, health declarations, references, or children's records — Launch44 is the guidance and orchestration layer, not the data vault. You retain those sensitive artefacts locally and submit them directly to Ofsted. We're registered with the ICO and GDPR compliant.
Which browsers do you support?
Latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox on desktop and mobile. Internet Explorer is not supported. If a specific page looks broken in your browser, send us a screenshot + the browser + OS and we'll reproduce it.
I'm getting an 'unauthorized' or 'not found' error on a page.
Usually this means your login session expired or the page requires you to complete an earlier step (e.g. onboarding before the dashboard). Try signing out and back in. If it persists, email us and include the page URL — we'll diagnose.
How do I export my documents?
From any approved document, use the Export menu to download as PDF, DOCX, or Word. The submission pack page assembles all of your SC1 documents into a single bundle with a consistency check before export.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Launch44 is a one-time payment — there's no recurring subscription to cancel. For refund requests within 14 days of purchase, email us with your order email and we'll process it. After 14 days we consider requests case by case.
